ASH WEDNESDAY 2020 comes early this year -  February 26th.

The following are the schedule:

@St. Ann’s Church
•7AM - Ash Service Only
•8AM - Mass
•9AM - Mass
•12:15PM - Ash Service Only
•5:30PM  - Ash Service Only
•7PM - Mass

@St. Michael’s: ALL within the Mass
•6PM (English)
•7PM (Slovak)
•8:30PM (Korean) 

Please be reminded that this day is FAST & ABSTINENCE Day. 

Who are obliged and who are not? 

Here are some guidelines:
• 14 Years Old & Older – Abstinence Only
• 18 to 59 Years Old – Fast & Abstinence
• 60 Years Old & Over - Optional

As the SEASON OF LENT  begins with the celebration of Ash Wednesday, it is good to remember that ALL FRIDAYS within the LENTEN SEASON are Days of Abstinence.

What TRADITIONAL LENTEN PRACTICES do we do:
 
• ALMSGIVING - It helps us become more detached from things in order to focus our attention on God and others through sharing of our Time, Talent and Treasure.
• FASTING - It helps us realize our dependence, and empties us so that we can be filled with God’s gifts.
• PRAYER. It is aimed at deepening our communion with God.
