Adult Confirmation Preparation - Not to be confused with the R.C.I.A. process, this program is designed for practicing adult (high school age+) Catholics seeking the sacrament of Confirmation, who have been baptized, and have had some instruction in the Catholic Faith. The Sacrament of Confirmation for adults is celebrated on the Feast of Pentecost every year at the 11:00 a.m. Mass. Sponsor:Each person must select a sponsor. Sponsors are invited to attend the preparation sessions in a supportive role. A Sponsor:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must be fully initiated in the Catholic Church (Baptized, Confirmed, Holy Communion)
- Must not be parent/guardian of the adult
- If married, marriage must be formally recognized by the Catholic Church.
- Is not the spouse or fiancé of the intended participant
